Bruce Cameron Gates, age 64, passed away on April 20, 2026.Bruce was born on October 26, 1961, in Baytown, Texas to his parents Elaine Bruce and Cameron Gates. Bruce graduated from Gregory Portland High School in 1979 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences in 1984 and Master of Science in Geological Sciences in 1987. He was a successful oil and gas geologist and executive. His professional career began at Bright & Company before he established his own energy exploration company, U.S. Enercorp, LTD in 1994.
