Holmes Don Ficklen, age 73, passed away on July 20th, 2026Born in San Antonio, Texas, on January 29, 1953, Don was the son of the late Holmes Ficklen Sr. and Hebe Duprey. He grew up in Olmos Park and graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute before continuing his education as a lifelong Texan with a deep fascination for earth sciences.
